 |  (You are My Heart’s Delight)于吉星出生于中国大连，1980 年于中央音乐学院（中央乐团学员班）毕业之后，曾师从周小燕，魏鸣泉，韩德章，吴其辉和吉诺贝基等名歌唱家。1988 年在多明哥访华演出期间被选为参加大师的公开示范教学班的四人之一; 被大师誉为“世界上最美的男高音之一”。1989 年被澳大利亚维多利亚州立歌剧院选入“青年艺术家培训班”。
1990 年至1991 年, 于吉星赢得奖学金到英国皇家歌剧院，英国国家歌剧训练中心和曼切斯特的北方皇家音乐学院深造，曾获第八届柴科夫斯基国际音乐比赛铜奖，以及中国文化部颁发的中央乐团国家一级演员荣衔。一九九二年应澳大利亚<悉尼歌剧院>的邀请回澳洲为该院的客席男高音主要演员。
自一九八九年出国以来，于吉星一直活跃于国际音乐舞台，已经成为澳大利亚，新西兰地区和东南亚深受瞩目的男高音之一。他总共表演过 13 部西洋歌剧，包括【爱的甘醇】、 【蝴蝶夫人】、【托斯卡】、【茶花女】、【魔笛】、【卡门】、【丑角】等，以及许多大中型音乐会， 如<威尔蒂专题音乐会>、 <普奇尼专题音乐会>、 中国北京人民大会堂<献给母亲的歌>海内外著名华人艺术家经典音乐会、新加坡大会堂新加坡华乐团成立十周年庆典音乐会、2007年8月9日新加坡国庆NDP庆祝会。最近有2012年6月30日于新加坡滨海艺术中心音乐厅举行的<歌剧精选之夜>音乐会。 自《百合女声》成立以来，于吉星老师一直担任艺术总监兼指挥至今。 Born in Dalian, People’s Republic of China, Yu Jixing graduated from the Music School of the Central Philharmonic Orchestra of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing in 1980 and was a principal tenor of the Central Philharmonic Orchestra in 1984. He studied under several renowned vocalists including Zhou Xiaoyan and Gino Bechi. In 1986, he was a bronze medal prize-winner in the Eighth Tchaikovsky International Competition held in Moscow. He was one of only four singers chosen for the Master Class conducted by Placido Domingo during the latter's visit to China in 1989，and who commended him at the time as having one of the most beautiful tenor voices in the world. In the early 1990's, Yu Jixing was awarded scholarships to study at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. In 1991, he won the Webster Booth/Esso Award and his performances of Nemorino and Pinkerton then were critically acclaimed. Yu Jixing has been active in the international music scene since 1989 and has become one of several much sought-after opera tenors and tenor soloists in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. He has performed in 13 operas including Madam Butterfly, Tosca, La Traviata, The Magic Flute, Carmen, and Pagliacci. He has also been invited to perform in many music festivals and commemorative concerts such as Puccini and Verdi Festivals, the Opera Gala Concert at Beijing Concert Hall in 2004 and at the Singapore National Day celebration night show at Marina Bay in 2007. His most recent performance was at the Quartet Bravi Vocal Recital at the Esplanade Concert Hall on June 30th, 2012. Mr Yu Jixing has been the Music Director cum Conductor of the Baihe Ladies Singers since its formation in 2002.
